Intergovernmental Agreement on the Brisbane 2032 Olympic and Paralympic Games between the Commonwealth of Australia and the Queensland Government

The Intergovernmental Agreement on the Brisbane 2032 Olympic and Paralympic Games provides a framework for the Commonwealth of Australia and Queensland to establish an enduring partnership and to fund key projects and initiatives which will support the successful delivery of Brisbane 2032 and its benefits.

It is also about ensuring that investments made for the hosting of Brisbane 2032 create a substantial legacy with benefits for communities over the long-term.

The Intergovernmental Agreement came into effect on 17 February 2023, when it was signed by the Prime Minister of Australia, the Hon. Anthony Albanese MP, and the Premier of Queensland, the Hon. Annastacia Palaszczuk MP.
